Ruth Dinah BURNDRETT was born in 1865 in Butt Lane, Audley, Staffordshire and her mother was Hannah BURNDRETT. No father was recorded on her birth certificate so Ruth was illegitimate. The following year, Hannah married John BOOTH in Talke, Staffordshire. Hannah’s father was George BURNDRET, a miner and John’s father was Joseph BOOTH, shoe maker. One of the witnesses was a John BURNDRET.
